Each month the coaching staff at EHP selects a member that is “Better Than Yesterday!” The selected recipient is a great example of EHP’s CREDO—demonstrating compassion, honesty, resilience, perseverance, and tenacity. Gina Dahl was selected as November’s “Better Than Yesterday” recipient for EHP West.

Why did you start CrossFit?
I started CrossFit/elevate because my old gym’s programming wasn’t challenging me in the way that I wanted/needed to be challenged. Also there were a lot of skills I wanted to learn/improve (like pull ups and a lot of barbell lifts)

Why do you continue CrossFit?

I continue CrossFit because I love the coaches, the people and challenging myself. I’ve even stopped avoiding bike WOD’s as a result!

What has been your greatest achievement since starting EHP?
My greatest achievement is figuring out to set the bike up appropriately for me for workouts and learning all those specific techniques that have made my lifts better.

How has your life changed since joining EHP?
The access to dry needling has been huge, but also the friends I’ve made and people I know I can reach out to with any questions or concerns.

Anything else you would like to share about yourself, fitness journey and/or EHP.
I love how encouraging everyone always is, especially during the last workout of the CrossFit Games 2024. I spent the entire time working and trying to get 1 bar muscle up and ended up crying because all I did were a bunch of pull ups. Ryan A and Hillary were great cheerleaders and told me they were proud of how I didn’t give up, I just kept working at it. And it made me really proud of myself even if I didn’t get a single rep, I still showed up for myself.
