Dr. Robyn is a Primary Care Sports Medicine and Family Medicine Physician who first found EHP when she was looking for strength programs for her middle-schooler.
She grew up in North Dakota and Minnesota and completed two undergraduate degrees at the University of North Dakota before finishing a Masters degree there in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics.
She then spent a few years as the director of off-ice training at the World Arena Ice Hall Training Center, running a strength and conditioning program and teaching jump biomechanics to high-level figure skaters along with an occasional hockey player, speed skater, or martial artist.
Dr. Robyn returned to UND for medical training and received her MD there. She took Family Medicine residency training at the University of Minnesota Creekside/Methodist Hospital program and completed her GME training with a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
She spent a number of years working in the F-M area at Sanford Health before returning to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area due to her kids’ needs. She’s currently practicing at Allina Health.
Throughout her career, Dr. Robyn has been a team physician or medical director for Division I, II, and III athletic programs along with USHL junior hockey, USA gymnastics and US Figure Skating. She has been the lead physician for multiple large wrestling tournaments along with local and regional figure skating and gymnastics events. She’s covered sporting events as a physician, ranging from road cycling to marathons to soccer tournaments to state high school tournaments to National and World Figure Skating. She has often said that her perfect job would be to just be paid to be on a sideline somewhere everyday!! In addition to high school and collegiate coverage, she is currently a Team Physician and member of the international traveling pool for US Figure Skating and is honored to travel the world with their talented athletes!
